About
Shaun Sears along with Tom Otto are certified arborists and the founders of Canopy Cat Rescue, a donation-supported nonprofit serving cats stranded in trees across Western Washington. Since 2009, they have combined technical climbing expertise with calm, cat-centered rescue work to reunite thousands of frightened felines with their families. Their remarkable rescues were featured on Animal Planet’s Treetop Cat Rescue, but their mission remains wonderfully straightforward: climb safely, help the cat, and make professional tree rescue accessible to the community.
